Aaron Hicks Exits With Left Leg Cramps

Aaron Hicks was removed from this afternoon’s game in the bottom of the fifth inning with left leg cramps.

Hicks had been 0-for-1 with two walks and a strikeout prior to being lifted. Clint Frazier entered the game in Hicks’ lineup spot, playing left field. Brett Gardner slid from left field to center field.

Hopefully, the cramping is just the result of dehydration and nothing else. It’s unclear if the cramps will keep him out of tomorrow’s game, though we’re likely to see Frazier in some form tomorrow afternoon.

Hicks is hitting .259/.359/.523 (140 wRC+) in 69 games so far in 2018.
